The Danish Data Protection Authority has not found out any reason for investigate on a complaint against the publication by Mette Frederiksen of a scholar photo, because the phone has been removed upon the request of one of the parents of the students.
When the Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen visited the school on March, a photo has been published on its Facebook profile. Parents of one of the students who was taking part to the photo have objected to Mette Frederiksen and the photo has been removed on the same day.
Parents have presented also a complaint against the Danish Data Protection Authority, but at the end of May received a decision which was declaring that the Authority has no reasons to process the complaint. The main reason is that the removal of the image, which is one of the key purposes which can be potentially reached by an adequate complaint procedure, has just take place.
The Authority frequently receives complaints in case of publication of images, but generally does not take action in cases in which an image has been removed upon request. In this case, the Authority has chosen to publish the decision, since the case has got a lot of attention by media.
