NORWEGIAN SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY: The Data Inspector closely examines the location tracking.

NORWEGIAN SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY: The Data Inspector closely examines the location tracking.

During this weekend NRK pointed out that the British Society Tamoco sold the movements to a high number of Norwegian. The Data Inspector has a serious view about this question.

The Privacy Policy has strict rules about the use of tracking location data and it is worrying and offensive salling those data in a free way.
Firstly, we will contact the British Data Protection Authority and we deal with this issue with the other European Data Protection Authorities.

This is a cross-border problem with international subjects and many international Data Protection Authorities must cooperate.

The responsible for the international section Tobias Judin recommends to hole to control privacy settings on your smartphone.

At this moment it is impossible to find out from which app Tamoco gains data.
You should share your position and any other informations only with trusted app. It is a good idea to be sure that those app have access to your data only when you use them, this is a way to avoid the constant monitoring.

NRK writes also about a report to find out how to review your personal setting in your smartphone.
