The mobile app ADA guidelines is an interactive platform of information provision useful for who is dealing with personal data protection and the General Data Protection Regulation. This is an instrument for the data protection community, for the organizations which process personal data, and each of us, in order that we know better our rights in the field of personal data protection and how to protect them. The ADA guidelines mobile app has been developed by the State Data Protection Inspectorate and from Mykolas Romeris University in order to promote standard high levels of personal data protection and raise awareness the field of personal data protection the project SolPriPa, co-financed by the European Program on Rights, Equality and Citizens (2014-2020). It has the aim to share the project’s results and promote the awareness of the public on the control activities of personal data protection carried out within the State Data Inspectorate, and in some cases also for contribute to this.
Audience
The SolPriPa project develops the information published in an ADA guideline for organisations and individuals, in particular health professionals, start-ups, small and medium enterprises, media, young and elderly people. The information on gadgets will be updated and new topics will be added in the future. Structure of the gadget. The ADA mobile guideline application has created special sections with useful information for organisations, people, information in English, BDAR texts compared in Lithuanian and English, surveys, tests, section of your opinions. Beware of data security breaches. A personal data breach (ADSP) can have extremely serious consequences for both individuals and organisations. It is very important not to be afraid to recognise that an ADSP has occurred and to take immediate corrective action. It is sometimes mandatory to report an ADSP to the State Data Protection Inspectorate. The ADA guideline will allow organisations to perform a special test to decide whether an ADSP notification should be submitted to the State Data Protection Inspectorate in a particular case. The app also provides for the creation of other tests that can be used to resolve certain personal data processing situations. Involvement in data protection supervision activities. The ADA guideline has created an exclusive “Your information” section for all those who want to contribute to the supervision of personal data protection in Lithuania. Here you can share anonymously your evaluations and insights on the processing of personal data in the market, on the cases of processing of personal data concerning you. We encourage the sharing of success stories and examples of good practice. The information provided will help the State Data Protection Inspectorate to supervise the protection of personal data, monitor the situation in Lithuania, assess emerging risks, plan inspections, among other things, present good practices both in Lithuania and abroad. Each post will be reviewed and evaluated by data protection professionals. 2020 10 September video of the conference “High standards of personal data protection: realities and aspirations”. Although the smooth running of the SolPriPa project was interrupted by a global coronavirus pandemic, some activities exceeded expectations. The closing conference of the project, which replaced the planned international event, received more than 700 live participants. Representatives of the project partners of the State Data Protection Inspectorate and Mykolas Romeris University, as well as the journalistic ethics inspector and representatives of the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania gave presentations at the conference. The ADA Guideline for Organisations section publishes videos of the conference proceedings.
