DANISH SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY: new decision – monitoring of the compliance with the obligation of inform on rapid test of the primary school

The Danish Data Protection Authority has monitored the compliance by Falck Danmark A/S of the obligation to provide information during the personal data processing. The Authority has reached a conclusion.

Children and youth – according to the GDPR – have a special protection of their data, because they are less aware of risks, of consequences and guarantees and of their rights in connection with the personal data processing.

For this reason, after the investigation on COVID-19 test’s providers at the beginning of this year on June the Personal Data Protection Authority has chose to monitor the compliance of Falck Danmark A/S with the obligation to provide information during the personal data processing. This has been carried out in connection with the COVID-19 rapid test of students over 12 years old in primary school.

The Authority has revealed that Falck Danmark A/S has complied with the obligation of information, but it has considered that it would be better to provide a dossier or brochures addressed to children in terms of form and content.
