DANISH SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY: new decision, supervision of the personal information process of travellers from Fybnus l/S

The Danish Data Protection Agency expressed serious criticisms against Fynbus l / S because it has not sufficiently respected the disclosure obligation in many services that collect personal information, among them the history of their user’s holidays.

During autumn 2019, the Danish Data Protection Agency started a written investigation under Fynbus l / S. The audit was focused on the respect from Fybnus of the disclosure obligation related to the recollection of information about the user’s history holidays.

The Agency has noticed that Fynbus l / S has not complied with the disclosure obligation related to the recollection of personal data in three apps or five services out of five, because the required informations are provided to customers in relation with the recollection. The customers, on the other hand, tried to find informations on the website.

In this context, the Data Agency found the basis for critics.

In addition, the Danish Data Protection Agency has revealed that the privacy policy of Fynbus l / S in two services does not include sufficient informations in order to fulfil the information obligation, for which the Danish Data Protection Agency criticizes.

In conclusion, the Danish DPA has noticed that the Fynbus l / S privacy policy in one service is extremely lacking. In this context the DPA has found a way to express serious criticism of the non-compliance with the obligation to provide information.
