The European Data Protection Board has adopted new guideline, among with a code of conduct of the transfers of data, as well as final version of guidelines on virtual voice assistances and definitions of data controller and processor.
Guideline on the code of conduct as a way to transfer personal data will be available for comments until the 1st of October 2021.
The new code of conduct aims to clarify the implementation of the disposals of the General Data Protection Regulation, which permit to data controller and processor who are not covered by the Genera Data Protection Regulation to use the code of conduct in order to guarantee adequate guarantees for the transfers out of the European Union.
Orientations integrate also the guideline 1/2019 on the code of conduct of the European Data Protection Board, which defines a general framework for the adoption of the code.
