The president of the Personal Data Protection Office has sent a letter to Polish Facebook Authorities. This is the result of a lot of reports on the personal data breaches of polish citizens, users into the social network Facebook.com which starts at the beginning of April 2021.
Into the letter, the UODO President of Personal Data Protection Office has asked to implement some actions in order to reduce the risk of using personal data interested by the data breach by offering a service which permits to polish users to verify if this breach is applicable to them.
According to the UODO President of Personal Data Protection Office, the personal data breach from Facebook represents a huge threat fro privacy of many people. Personal data provided can be used not only for sending spam or conducting unfair telemarketing, but also for criminal purposes.
For this reason, how it is underlined by the UODO President of Personal Data Protection Office, it is important to provide an explanation of the circumstances.
