The European Data Protection Board ( EDPB ) today launched its Europe-wide review exercise “ Coordinated Enforcement Framework ” ( CEF ) or 2025.
A total of 32 European supervisory authorities, including the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information ( BfDI ) and several German state data protection supervisory authorities, will participate in this coordinated action. The aim this year is, among other things, to evaluate the implementation of the right to erasure ( Article 17 GDPR ) in practice using a jointly developed questionnaire.
To mark today’s launch, the Data Protection Conference ( DSK ) has published a press release with further information.
