The European Data Protection Board (EDPB), which is an independent supervisory authority that promotes good practice and supervises the processing of personal data by the institutions of the European Union, has published guidelines on the arrangements for the transfer of personal data from the institutions of the Union to international organizations. The arrangement is supposed to make it easier for EU institutions to comply with the current data protection laws of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 when they transfer personal data to international organizations.
With the arrangement, the principles of data protection are emphasized, as well as the necessary protection measures are ensured, which are essentially equivalent to the protection measures of the EU legislation.
